A family business with a keen eye on the future, further expansion is planned with a 35-bedroom hotel in the planning pipeline, while the recent addition of a wide beam boat offers luxury accommodation to wedding couples and diners in the interim. And it’s not just the infrastructure of the business the leadership team is so keen to invest in – sustainability is also high on the agenda, with a current project to install a 300kVA solar array on the site set to generate sufficient energy to power its day to day operations.
This is just one of a number of strategic initiatives the venue has taken to enhance its green credentials, something that has helped the marina secure a £2.75 million package of funding from Lloyd’s to support the ongoing development of sustainable infrastructure - including the solar energy project.

Andy Matthews, relationship director at Lloyds, says: "Aston Marina exemplifies the kind of innovative and forward-thinking business we are proud to support.
"Their dedication to sustainability and commitment to growth align with our values, and we look forward to seeing them thrive in the years to come."
Director at Aston Marina Helen Clayton said: "We are incredibly proud of how far Aston Marina has come since its inception.
"Lloyds' support is enabling us to future-proof our business, invest in sustainable solutions, and offer a truly unique experience to our visitors."
