Colleagues from the Specsavers store in Sainsbury’s attended the event to highlight the range of earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship opportunities available through the Specsavers apprenticeship scheme - open to anyone aged 16 and over. Pupils were given goody bags and encouraged to find out more about the different roles available within the business.
Emma Singh, store director at both Kidderminster Specsavers locations, says: ‘We really enjoyed speaking to pupils at Baxter College about their future aspirations. The event provided a great opportunity to raise awareness of the wide range of career pathways at Specsavers, from optical and retail roles to more behind the scenes jobs.’
‘Our apprenticeship programme is ideal for school or college leavers, as well as those looking for a career change. It’s a great alternative to university, offering hands-on experience and a nationally recognised qualification in a supportive environment. Most apprenticeships last 13 months, with degree-level options also available, which take three to four years to complete.’
