Willow Rose, part of the Macc Care Group, saw Mehnoor Kaur recognised in the Palliative Care Worker category of the Palliative Care Awards, and Leanne O’Neill shortlisted for Dementia Care Worker in the Dementia Care Awards.

Mehnoor, a registered nurse who joined the profession at just 17, has become a beacon of calm and kindness within Willow Rose’s palliative care team. Among her many contributions to the quality of care at the home is the introduction of the Pocket Heart – a handmade keepsake she created to offer comfort to families who have lost a loved one, and which is now a cherished part of the home’s end-of-life care.

Leanne, who is a team leader on the dementia floor, was nominated thanks to being a driving force behind Willow Rose’s reputation for progressive, emotionally intelligent dementia care. Known for her calm presence and ability to de-escalate with empathy, she leads her team with compassion, ensuring residents feel safe and respected.
