The sponsorship will help support the youth team by funding new kits and training equipment for the current 25/26 season and seasons ahead.
Ash Raju and his restaurants have been supporting grassroots football in the local community as part of McDonald’s Fun Football programme for many years. McDonald’s is the longest-standing supporter of grassroots football in the UK and has worked with the Home Nation Football Associations for over 20 years.
The McDonald’s restaurant in Wolverhampton also celebrated the new partnership by inviting the team and their coaches down to their local restaurant on Penn Road, for the team to meet their new sponsors and Warinder Juss, MP for Wolverhampton West.

Warinder Juss said: "It was great to see the Old Wulfrunians boys with their lovely new kits, and looking so good in them! I want to thank Ash Raju for sponsoring these kits, and for all the charitable work that he does in the community."

Ash Raju added: “Youth football is important for our community which is why we support local teams through each restaurant, and I am delighted to help support the Old Wulfrunians Under 8’s by providing the new kits and training equipment. I look forward to seeing the team enjoy playing their upcoming fixtures.”
Football team manager Pete Corr, for the Under 8’s Boys Team, said: “The Under 8’s at Old Wulfrunians are hugely grateful to McDonald’s for their sponsorship and supply of playing away kit for our team. The support of McDonald’s will allow us to continue to keep our membership fees low and provide access to youth football regardless of background and ability.
"We look forward to working with McDonald’s to continue to provide a safe and fun environment for children to play football. It was a fantastic for the boys to meet their new sponsors too and enjoy a meal at the Penn Road restaurant, everyone had a fun time together.”
Now in its 24th year, McDonald’s Fun Football programme is committed to providing over ten million hours of free football opportunities to over one million children by 2026.
