Trade unions celebrate successful campaign to keep DB Leisure a public service

The campaign firmly believes that this commitment to public services offers the best deal for Dudley staff and residents and applaud the council's decision.
We believe that this change is due to the successful campaign led by trade unions and widely supported by members of the public.
Paul Quigley from UNISON said: "This campaign shows what we can achieve when we get organised. Every one of us should join a trade union."
We would like to thank everyone who signed petitions and supported us to keep the leisure centres public and open, including the Labour Party, the Liberal Democrats and the Dudley Independent Group.
We welcome the opportunity for residents to input their ideas for the future of the service and look forward to the services flourishing to support a healthy, fun borough.
We will be holding a social to celebrate on the evening of 15 May (venue TBC). All welcome.
