The special commemorative breakfast is taking place at Dora Rose care home, located in Milford, on Saturday May 3 from 9.30am to 11am. The event will see the team from Dora Rose, a Macc Care Group home, welcome veterans and guests to enjoy a warm breakfast in honour of those who served during the Second World War.

As a gesture of appreciation, complimentary food and refreshments will be on offer to all veterans attending the event.

Bhav Amlani of Macc Care said: “VE Day is a moment of reflection and celebration for many of our residents who remember the events of 1945. This breakfast is our way of honouring that moment and giving thanks to the veterans in our community. We hope to welcome both familiar and new faces to mark this special anniversary with us.”

The VE Day Breakfast is part of Macc Care’s wider mission to create meaningful, community-centred experiences that celebrate the lives and histories of those in its care.
