Public talk: The History of Stourbridge Glass

Our talk on Monday, 5 May is 'The History of Stourbridge Glass' by Dr Late Round. Kate is a 'Glass Historian' based at the Red House Cone in Stourbridge. She also brings her unique insight to the topic since her academic background is in the chemistry of glass.

Stourbridge glass was world renown. Many people have at least one item in their home, usually some Stuart crystal. The history of glass making in the Stourbridge area goes back some 400 years The majority of the factories closed by the early 2000s. Some specialist firms remain, for example Brierley Hill Crystal.

The talk by Dr Kate Round promises to be a great introduction to this part of our Industrial heritage.

The talk starts at 7.30pm in the Red House, High Street, Albrighton WV7 3LU. Cost £3 on the door, all welcome.
