The initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 4,000 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK. 2025 marks the 15th anniversary of #SBS Small Business Sunday, which Theo launched in October 2010.
Business and retail entrepreneur and self-confessed Shopkeeper Theo re‐shared Dave’s message to his combined 800,000 Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram followers. As a result, Dave and his business are profiled on the #SBS website, exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.

Dave said: “Three years ago, I was at a crossroads. I backed myself, left the corporate world behind, and took a leap into the world of entrepreneurialism. I was driven by purpose, curiosity, and a belief that I could help others grow. Being recognised by Theo Paphitis as an #SBS winner is a real honour and a reminder that asking better questions, building strong partnerships, and staying true to your values does make a difference.”

Before setting up Fuelled Fit and Fired Up, Dave spent nearly 30 years using curiosity as a driving force to help businesses navigate challenges and achieve meaningful growth. Now, as a consultant, coach, and keynote speaker, he specialises in guiding organisations through complex decision-making processes and equipping them with practical tools to innovate and succeed.
Known as "The Business Explorer," Dave takes a collaborative and thoughtful approach to problem-solving. He works closely with leaders to identify opportunities and implement solutions that drive long-term success. For Dave, one of the most fulfilling aspects of his work is seeing businesses and their teams achieve results beyond their expectations.

Outside of his consultancy work, Dave is committed to supporting the next generation of talent. He mentors students and advises schools on career development, sharing insights from decades of experience. He also serves as Chair of the Board at The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, a leading UK mental health charity, where he contributes to initiatives that support wellbeing and resilience.

Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen, and I wish Dave and Fuelled Fit and Fired Up every success.”
Anyone looking for a re‐post from Theo should post to him on X, LinkedIn or Instagram about their business on Sunday between 5pm and 7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8pm and then invited to enter their profile on the new website, attend the annual #SBS networking event and take advantage of the networking opportunities.
