‘The Women of Whitechapel’ tells the story of those killed – giving them an identity beyond just their name and graphic details of how they were murdered.

The talk will be given by Professor Black, aka author Damian Carter, whose book and exhibition on the topic have proved very popular at similar events around Dudley.

The free talk will take place at Cradley Library on Tuesday 13 May.

“It makes a change to hear about the women in Jack the Ripper’s story,” said Stephanie Rhoden, GLL’s Partnership Manager for Dudley Libraries.

“The talk has been very well attended in some of our other libraries and booking is essential. The feedback from other Professor Black presentations has been excellent so I’m sure his audience are in for a treat.”

Copies of the ‘Women of Whitechapel’ book will be available for purchase – as will a selection of artwork and memorabilia.

Operating under the Better brand, GLL runs Dudley Libraries on behalf of the council.
