Exciting new dance classes at Stone’s Rooftop Studios

To mark the opening of its new ground floor studio space, a new Baby Dance class on Mondays from 11am – 11.45am will give parents with toddlers a fun way to bond with and spend time with their little ones. Aimed at children aged 18 months – 3 years the fun, interactive this fun, interactive sessions will introduce the basic elements of dance and rhythm while helping develop coordination and boost confidence and creativity. Grown-ups get to stay and join in the fun with lots of props and interactive play.

For older children, the studio has introduced a new Commercial Jazz class on Tuesday evenings. Taught by Jamie Tindell, whose credits include Hair the Musical (Westend) We Will Rock You (Westend) and dancing for numerous commercial artists, the class will see youngsters learn the style of dance seen in most music videos and stage shows; taught to the latest hits and trending tunes. Sessions run from 4.45pm - 5.45pm (11-14years), 5.45pm - 6.45pm (15+ years), and 6.45pm - 7.45pm (7-10 years), and children are invited to attend a free trial class before signing up.

Studio director, Laura Keeling, says: “We can’t wait for the return of our Baby Dance classes - they are so much fun and the ground floor studio means that parents no longer have to worry about wrestling buggies up the first floor to join in. They offer a great way to get little ones moving, socialising and developing a love of music while giving their grown-ups the chance to join in the fun and meet lots of other parents with similar aged children.
