Adopt A Greyhound Month: Greyhounds searching for their forever home
Greyhounds at Home Run Hounds adoption centres in the West Midlands are searching for their forever homes in ‘Adopt A Greyhound Month’, which runs throughout April.

Throughout the month, homing centres are promoting what excellent pets greyhounds make. While they are fantastic athletes on the track, greyhounds feel just as at home curled up on the sofa, require only two short walks a day and are extremely affectionate and friendly dogs who make the perfect pets for couples, families, children and those living on their own.
The greyhounds awaiting homing at Home Run Hounds’ centres include:

Johnny (Bangon Jeremy): Johnny is a three-year-old black greyhound at Home Run Hounds’ Wombourne Kennel. He adores meeting people and loves a good cuddle. He would definitely be happy living with another greyhound, although a trial would be best to see how he gets on with any other pets.
Tim (Glynncross Tim): Tim is five years old with a gorgeous blue brindle coat who is at Home Run Hounds’ Stourbridge Kennels. He gets on very well with other large dogs and is a pleasure for the volunteers to walk. He’s very affectionate and would be best suited to a family with older children who have had a greyhound before.
Hughie (Hugh Adventure): Hughie is a six-year-old black greyhound at Home Run Hounds’ Stourbridge Kennels. He has a gentle temperament and prefers a quiet environment where he can spend plenty of time snoozing on the sofa as well as playing with his toys. Older children or adults would be his ideal companions.
Elf (Loggies Elf): Elf, who is based at Home Run Hounds’ Shenstone Kennels, is a four-year-old black greyhound with a happy and loving personality. He’s a very energetic boy who would be best suited as the only pet in a home with adults or older children.
Ted (Young Ted): Ted is another a four-year-old black greyhound at the Shenstone Kennels who has a very sweet and affectionate temperament. He loves walks, meeting new people and playing with his toys and would thrive in a home with another larger dog. He could also be happy as an only pet.
