On Saturday, 12 April the Birmingham Children's Hospital held the annual Abseil challenge. The 80ft climb took place near The Custard Factory, Digbeth and saw hundreds of daredevils take part raising money for the hospital.

Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity believe there's always more they can do for our sick kids and that's why they will always strive to do more for patients and families. It's their mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use the hospital.

Shaz Saleem said: "It was an amazing day with beautiful weather, the community vibe was just incredible. It's brilliant seeing hundreds of people of all ages taking part. It was really heart warming to see two young people with Autism face their fear of heights and conquer it!

"I was joined by an amazing team, Sumaira and Sakib, between us we have raised over £700 for this worthwhile cause.

"A huge thank you to brilliant fundraising team and volunteers who been up early making this event happen, special shout-out to Lucie for the great pictures and James and Lisa who also took part in the abseil, such legends!"

The charity has raised over £30,000, and together we have contributed almost £700, which is truly amazing, please continue to support by donating on the link below;
