Ofsted found “effective action had been taken to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection”.
The school was marked “good” for its quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and early years provision.
The inspector said the school, which is part of the Severn Academies Educational Trust, was a place where children felt safe, happy and secure and where expectations of them remained high.
Her report said: “The trust works hand-in-hand with the school and governors to provide the best for every pupil.”
It added: “Many pupils reach standards above those expected for their age by the time they leave in Year 6.”
Staff were praised for quickly and accurately identifying pupils with special needs, with individual plans ensuring them access to the same learning as their classmates at an appropriate level of challenge.
The inspector found “impressive pastoral support” and that pupils benefitted from many extra-curricular activities, including opportunities to take part in projects beyond the academic, which prepared them well to become active citizens.
She highlighted how the school worked with other trust schools to refine and develop the curriculum and how in a few subjects, where there have been recent changes, the impact on achievement now needs assessing.
Sophie Bartlett, who was appointed head of school three years ago, said: “I am incredibly pleased for our team that Ofsted recognised our many strengths.”
“Having worked here for 22 years, I know what a special place this is, how we are at the heart of the community and go the extra mile for all our children.”
