Watling Street primary school has brought a splash of Easter to Holland Park, with artwork on display around the perimeter of the parks play area, tennis courts and other facilities.
Ava, Ellie and Isobel are the school’s Art Ambassadors, and recently visited the park to see the Easter-themed artwork on display.
Becky Jones, Art Lead from Watling Street primary school said: “We wanted to bring some joy to the local park and something for the children and school community to see when visiting.
“So, we got in touch with Walsall Council’s healthy spaces team who were happy to help, so now during the Easter holidays the children will no doubt be heading to the park to spot their creations!”
Councillor John Murray, local member for Brownhills, said: “A big well done to the school and the children for their wonderful Easter artwork, which is now proudly on display at Holland Park, I am sure that our local community will enjoy taking a look when visiting.”
Councillor Gary Flint, Portfolio Holder for Health and Wellbeing at Walsall Council, said: “Our parks and green spaces are there for communities to use, enjoy and take pride in.
“These simple touches really do brighten up our parks and bring a great sense of pride to the community. Thank you to Watling Street primary school.”
The Easter artwork will remain on display during the school holidays.
