Having battled through a competitive regional campaign, the team earned their place among the top school teams in the country, representing Wolverhampton with pride, passion, and perseverance.
In the final, St Peter’s faced a strong and experienced Trinity High School side. Despite falling short 43–63, the team showed tremendous heart and character. Star guard Emmanuela Otisi delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 28 points and leading the team throughout the contest.
Coach Douaine Anderson praised the players for their dedication: “Getting to the final was a huge achievement in itself. This experience has shown us exactly what it takes to compete at the highest level, and we’ll use it to come back even stronger. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff, students, and families who supported the team on their journey - especially those who made the trip to Manchester. Your encouragement truly made a difference."

St Peter’s U19 Girls team have set a new benchmark and are already focused on next season - with the goal of returning to the finals and bringing the title home.

Having reached the national final, St Peter’s Collegiate Academy is now focused on establishing itself as a regular contender on the national stage. But to do so, the programme requires investment.
The basketball programme is actively seeking sponsorship and financial support to cover costs related to team kit, travel to competitions, and equipment upgrades, ensuring that these talented young athletes can continue to train and compete at the highest level.
“We have the talent and the commitment,” said Anderson, “but to continue competing nationally, we need sponsors and partners who believe in youth development and the power of sport. Supporting this programme means investing in the next generation of female leaders and athletes.”
