Staffordshire school raises over £3,000 for South African charity

A Staffordshire school has raised more than £3,000 to help transform young lives in South Africa by completing a 26-mile walk around the Peak District.

St. Dominic’s Grammar School in Brewood organised the Mighty Hike event and around 40 staff, students and families took part.

The team exceeded their fundraising target for the Ubunye Foundation, supporting an education programme for disadvantaged children in South Africa:  https://bit.ly/4iTis9t

Headmaster Mr Peter McNabb said: “We take part in a charity challenge every year because it is important to give something back and support others.

“I am incredibly proud of everyone who participated, it was a real community effort. Everyone rose to the challenge and showed wonderful team spirit.”

The walk took place on Saturday, March 29, starting from Bakewell.
