Three Church Road restaurant, located within Audley St George’s Place retirement village, is an elegant 35 seat bistro, bar and terrace, set within a beautiful Grade II listed Regency villa and has become a favourite for foodies looking for some quintessential English charm.
The restaurant is open to the public for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea, as well as being available for exclusive private events.
The new Spring menu has a modern European influence and has been developed by Head Chef, Gupreet Singh, who uses the finest ingredients and expertise to create a memorable dining experience. He said: “Our spring menu has been developed through weeks of testing, refining, and a collaborative cook-off with four head chefs from Audley Villages. The goal? To showcase bold flavours, seasonal ingredients, and classic techniques with a contemporary twist.”
A tempting selection of starters includes the ox cheek croquettes with cauliflower puree, Madeira sauce and parmesan shavings plus the grilled asparagus with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce.
For mains, the start of the show is undoubtedly the lamb Henry - cooked low and slow for a deep, rich flavour, the lamb is paired with olive oil-crushed potatoes for a creamy contrast. A leek and pea fricassee adds freshness, while a mint jus cuts through the richness with a bright finish.
Other dishes include the chicken kebab skewers on flat bread with pickled cucumber salad and a mint yoghurt dressing, or the classic 8oz sirloin steak served with triple cooked chips, field mushrooms, tomatoes and garlic and herb butter.
Those feeling indulgent will struggle to choose between tempting desserts such as the rhubarb, ginger and apple crumble tart served with custard and vanilla ice cream and the mouth-watering baked chocolate cheesecake served with a black cherry compôte and chocolate sauce.
A healthy options section is a thoughtful addition which showcases a nutritionally balanced selection of salads and lighter choices including poached salmon fillet served with pak choi, rice noodles, lime, sesame seeds, spring onion and a miso broth.
Tanya Ashby, General Manager said: “Our team has worked incredibly hard on the new menu and we look forward to sharing it and seeing how our guests respond. Whether you enjoy comforting classics or vibrant, seasonal flavours, there is something for everyone to savour.
“Offering casual dining in a luxury setting, we serve great British classics infused with modern flair. Guests can dine in the restaurant or the more relaxed bistro, including casual or business lunches, afternoon tea, cocktails or simply coffee and cake. We pride ourselves on high standards in presentation, taste, and excellent service."
