Girls' basketball team secures historic place in national schools final
St Peter’s Collegiate Academy’s U19 Girls’ Basketball Team has reached the Dynamik National Schools Final for the first time, following a hard-fought victory over Harris City Academy Crystal Palace.

On Friday, 14 March, St Peter’s secured a 76-67 win in a highly competitive National Schools Semi-Final. The result marks another historic milestone for the team, which is now just one game away from becoming national champions. The final will take place at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester on 27 March.
A Hard-Fought Victory
Facing a strong Harris City Academy side, St Peter’s displayed resilience and determination to overcome their opponents. From the opening tip-off, both teams demonstrated high energy and intensity, with St Peter’s maintaining composure under pressure.
Strong defensive efforts, key rebounds, and disciplined execution in offence allowed St Peter’s to establish and maintain a lead, despite repeated challenges from their opponents. The team’s ability to stay focused in crucial moments proved decisive in securing the win.

With a place in the National Schools Final now secured, St Peter’s awaits confirmation of their opponent. The other semi-final between Northampton School for Girls and Trinity High School will determine who they face in Manchester.
Trinity High School would present a formidable challenge, having secured convincing victories over St Peter’s in previous competitions. However, regardless of the opponent, the team remains focused and prepared to compete at the highest level.
