Lacey Cooper, lives nearby the Dora Rose care home in Milford near Stafford and decided early this year to raise money for the residents.

This month, she took on a 7.5 mile walk in a bid to fundraise and has so far successfully raised £434 for the home and its residents.

The youngster began her walk in Brereton, moved on to Hart School in Rugeley, before continuing to Dora Rose in Milford. Despite taking an unexpected detour, that lengthened her 7.5-mile journey, she arrived at the care home just after midday to cheers, banners and applause from the Dora Rose team.

Lacey’s fundraising journey first began in January when she donated £20, raised through selling her own items, saving her pocket money, and even setting aside earnings from the tooth fairy. Inspired to do more, she set herself this latest challenge, determined to make an even bigger difference.

Dora Rose, part of the Macc Care group, is committed to offering exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment. With the help of young fundraisers like Lacey, the residents will have the opportunity to enjoy even more special moments and activities in the coming months.
