Dates for your diary - a preview of what's on at Brierley Hill Civic Hall this April

Well we are now into March, and this year seems to be flying past us so quick that we are giving you a sneak preview to April events at the Civic, Brierley. Again plenty of contrast for the folks of Black Country, including a weekend of Jonny Cole, the Black Country's own comedian, and plenty to keep the kids entertained over Easter.

Thursday, 3 April - ELO Again

ELO Again the ultimate tribute to Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra return to the Civic with their “Re-Discovery Tour” celebrating the truly universal music of Jeff Lynne and ELO, performing all the great hits including Mr Blue Sky, Last Train to London, The Diary of Horace Wimp plus many more.

Friday, 4 April - Boogie Wonderland

Get Ready to Spin that mirror ball as Boogie Wonderland rolls in for the start of 2025 at the Civic.

Three major music genres combine to give us one great night. Classic disco – you know the really good stuff:

Soul - from the late 70s to the late 80s when it got really well made.

Funk – from Stevie Wonder to Funkadelic and everything in-between.

To name some of the classics - Music like Ain't Nobody, Rock Your Baby, Le Freak, Never Too Much, We Are Family, Word Up, Boogie Nights, I Found Lovin' and much much more. It’s the best disco night in town.

Saturday, 5 April - Rats in the Kitchen

Thursday, 10 April - Eddie Cochran Tribute

The Gold Star bank bring you a full show of wall to wall songs from Eddie Cochran, from his early days “Tired and Sleepy” to the final tour in England. Also one or two songs from his buddies, Billy Fury, Marty Wilde and Gene Vincent. A celebration of rock and roll at it’s best.

Friday, 11 April - The Ultimate Ladies Night

The Ultimate Ladies Night Show is coming to Brierley Hill Civic! Feel the heat from world-renowned male entertainers, drag queens and circus performers!

Come and join us for two hours of fun this Easter holiday. The Civic have teamed up with Bernard Moseley Kidz Entertainment to bring you the best party around! Mini shows and sing-alongs, disco, party dances, mascot meet and greets, fun games and prizes too!

Wednesday, 16 April - The Adventures of the Easter Bunny 

Get ready for a hoppin' good time at The Adventures of the Easter Bunny! This exciting, interactive Easter show brings the magic of the holiday to life with lovable mascot characters, tons of fun, and heartwarming moments for the whole family. Join the Easter Bunny and his friends as they embark on a thrilling quest filled with laughter, games, and surprises that everyone will enjoy—no matter your age!

Thursday, 17 April - Spirit of Fleetwood Mac – Seven Wonders

Seven Wonders are a group of first class musicians, who have come together to play tribute to the legacy and spirit of Fleetwood Mac with their passion and appreciation of this classic band.

Friday, 18 April - Club Tropicana

The eighties are back at the Civic with Club Tropicana. 80s night with stage set, big screen videos and fancy dress encouraged. You’ll feel like you have stepped back in time to leg warmers, scrunchies and a lot more.

Saturday, 19 April - Rhythm is a Dancer

Rhythm is a dancer is the ultimate 90s night at the Civic. Nineties vibe, of chart hits, girl power, club classics, boy bands, r and b, reggae, Britpop anthems. Light show and video screens.

Tuesday, 22 April - Dinoslam 

Dino, Action & Adventure are proud to announce DINOslam Live! 

Travel back to the prehistoric time to meet some of the formidable dinosaurs that ever lived. Our live shows allow children of all ages to come toe to toe with the world’s greatest dinosaurs. Ranger Bernard and his team are excited for you to meet the baby pups and embrace the terror of our walking dinosaurs. This is a perfect and magical experience for all dinosaur enthusiast. Discover dinosaur fossils and even seen a Trex hatch live!

Thursday, 24 April - Sabrina Carpenter Experience

The Sabrina Carpenter Experience By Katy McKenna is a family friendly show, described as 'one big sleepover party'. Featuring all the hits from the new Princess of Pop, this interactive show encourages audiences to sing along, show off their best moves, have fun and “Espresso" themselves! 

With top vocals, great costumes and fantastic dancers, Katy's stage presence will make you feel like you're watching the real thing.

Four hours of party disco music aimed at the over 30s - the afternoon discos are growing in popularity with more and more attending these events.

Everything you expect from a Civic hosted party, good people, fair bar prices, great atmosphere, full club lighting and sound system, giant video screen and the best people in town all having a great time. 

The music, the vibe, just everything aimed at a great time. Upbeat, happy and swinging – the Daytime Disco is just the best way to spend your Saturday afternoon.

Saturday, 26 April - We Got Soul

The best Soul and Motown night around! Massive video screens and all the hits delivered through a cracking sound system. ery reasonable bar prices and a huge sprung dance floor. It’s where the happy people go, and hear soul classics from the 60s and 70s. From Tamla Motown, to classic soul, to a bit of Northern Soul (the popular stuff) as well as some seventies classic polished soul. All the bases are covered to keep the dancefloor full all night. 

Sunday, 27 April - The Wizard of Oz

Polka Dot Pantomimes’ sparkling new adaption of The Wizard of Oz lands on stage in Brierley Hill. Are you ready to embark on a magical adventure like no other? Prepare to experience the beloved story like never before. Follow Dorothy, a girl from Kansas, as she’s whisked away by a tornado to the Merry Old Land of Oz! Joined by her loyal friends - the Scarecrow - (Played by CBBC & Strictly Star - Karim Zeroual), the Tinman and the Cowardly Lion - Dorothy sets out on a quest to meet the mighty Wizard, hoping he can help her find her way back home. Be prepared to be transported into a breath-taking world filled with stunning sets, vibrant costumes and dazzling special effects. From the magical wonders of Munchkinland to the mysterious and perilous journey through the dark forests.
