17-year-olds Sid Jones, who attends the Stone branch, Lara Castle, who is a pupil at the Leek academy, have successfully auditioned for the Emil Dale Academy in Hertfordshire.
They were both offered a place at the academy, which bills itself as “the home of triple-threat musical theatre training in the UK!” and Lara has also been offered a place at Leicester’s Addict Dance Academy.
Laura Keeling, Principle at Rooftop Studios Stone, says: “We are super proud of both Sid and Lara – this was the first of many auditions for full time training and they smashed it. It’s great to see this generation continuing the tradition of Rooftop alumni going on to professional performing arts training. They are both very talented and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.”

Rooftop Studios offers a comprehensive range of performing arts training for children aged 18 months to 18 years alongside a number of classes for adults. Classes include RAD ballet, ISTD Modern and Tap, Jazz, Street Dance, Commercial Heels, Acro/Cheerleading, Contemporary Dance, Acting through Song, LAMDA Drama, Vocal Smash singing troupe and the renowned Saturday Stage Academy.
