Successful launch of Netwalking event in Willenhall
West Midlands House is celebrating the success of it’s first Netwalking event of the year, which took place at Willenhall Memorial Park on 14 February. The well-attended event brought together local businesses and community groups for a unique networking experience that combined the benefits of walking with professional connection.

This was the first of four Netwalking events scheduled for 2024, and it set a strong precedent for future gatherings. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy the park’s stunning winter scenery while engaging in meaningful conversations and fostering new business relationships.
Guest speaker Kerry Tonks, a respected mental health trainer, delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of managing stress and prioritising both mental and physical wellbeing. Her insights resonated deeply with attendees, reinforcing the significance of self-care in today’s fast-paced business environment.
As a final highlight, local creative writer Saida Chowdhury performed a powerful poem written especially for the event. Her words captured the essence of how the outdoors can serve as a catalyst for creativity and inspiration, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

Jeni Sellick, Centre Manager at West Midlands House and the visionary behind the event, expressed her excitement about the connections formed during the walk. She remarked: “It was so nice to see new partnerships forming at our first Netwalking event. Black Country people really know how to work together, and the feedback has been incredible. Willenhall is a fantastic, supportive place to do business, and we’re already taking reservations for the next event in May.”
West Midlands House is looking forward to welcoming even more participants at the upcoming events. To find out more about West Midlands House and secure a spot for the next Netwalking event, visit: westmidlandshouse.com/events.
