Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World have announced a new collaboration with Nimbus Disability.

Access Cards are designed to improve access to attractions, leisure facilities and retail providers for visitors with disabilities. Starting immediately, the popular zoo has now pledged to accept the Access Card as proof of disability, making it easier for guests to enjoy their day out at the zoo.

This initiative allows carers accompanying individuals with disabilities to apply for a free carer ticket through the Access Card online portal. By simplifying the entry process, Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World have said that the scheme demonstrates their ‘commitment that all visitors, regardless of ability, can experience the true wonders of nature and wildlife.’

“We are thrilled to partner with Nimbus Disability to enhance accessibility at Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World. Joining the scheme demonstrates our continued commitment that all visitors, regardless of ability, can experience the true wonders of nature and wildlife” said Hoo Zoo Owner, Will Dorrell.

“By accepting the Access Card, we are taking a significant step towards ensuring that our park is welcoming to all, building on our recent initiative to become a member of Kulture City. We want everyone to be able to experience a day out at the zoo, and the free carer ticket is a fantastic way to support those who need additional assistance to make their day enjoyable.”

Visitors can easily apply for the Access Card and find more information about the free carer ticket process on the Nimbus Disability website.

Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World have launched the scheme ahead of the upcoming February Half Term break. Visitors to the zoo will be able to see hundreds of animals including wolves and a recently arrived family of squirrel monkeys. The zoo is also home to ‘Hoorassic World’ - one of the UK’s largest collections of animatronic dinosaurs.
