Premier League referee set to appear at Bewdley event
A former professional Premier League referee is to appear at a special event in Bewdley which will reflect on his career and achievements.

Mike Dean, who officiated in England’s top league for 22 years, will attend the event being held at Wharton Park Golf Club on Thursday, 13 March.
The all-ticket event will also feature award-winning radio host and talkSport presenter, Tom Ross, alongside former Aston Villa winger and European Cup winner, Tony Morley.
Aside from taking charge of over 550 Premier League matches, he was also in charge of showpiece matches including an FA Cup Final, League Cup Final, the Championship Play-Off Final, and several European matches at club and international level.

The Wirral-born official retired from refereeing in 2022 but remains a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for Premier League matches.

“With Tom Ross leading the evening, and being joined by Midlands football hero Tony Morley, it promises to be a great night to get together with friends and enjoy superb food and in a stunning setting.”
The event, which begins at 6.30pm on Thursday, 13 March, includes a two-course meal within the club’s function suite which overlooks its 18-hole championship course. Tickets are priced at £45 person for club members, and £55 for non-members and can be purchased by calling 01299 405222, or book directly through the club’s website – whartonpark.co.uk.
Wharton Park’s course is built around a 43-acre Royal Forest by course architect Howard Swan. It boasts over four miles of buggy tracks and hosts regular tournaments as well as society days and members’ competitions.
