Jasmine’s life was turned upside down following a diagnosis of Burkitt lymphoma and she ended up spending a large part of 2023 in hospital where she received chemotherapy for the fast-growing cancer.

To give her a break from things, Willow, a charity which provides special days, breaks and treats to seriously ill young people, organised a meet and greet for Jasmine and her friend, Fran. The evening allowed them to fulfil a dream of meeting one of their favourite bands.

Jasmine said: “My day was incredible. I know there must have been so much organisation in the background. My friend Fran and I had the most wonderful time, the whole evening felt like a dream.

“It made me forget about the events of the last year and made it so I could totally be myself despite my illness. This time last year the mere fact of leaving the hospital or house felt alien and I can't believe I was able to go. I never thought in a million years that I would get the opportunity to be in the same room as the Jonas Brothers, let alone to shake hands with and meet them! I will remember that day for the rest of my life.”
