Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce unveils an 'exciting' new chapter that’s set to boost the city’s economy and benefit residents
Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce is thrilled to announce an exciting initiative that marks a new milestone in supporting businesses and fostering a thriving community.
The revelation follows the chamber’s decision to become the first ever official sponsor of new, Lichfield-headquartered venture NetworkLocal.
Serving the Midlands, and dedicated to providing free support and promotion for independently owned businesses, the new collaboration not only unlocks a raft of benefits for Lichfield’s SMEs, but it will also usher in a heightened focus on encouraging more residents to shop locally.
Chamber’s move is set to boost Lichfield’s economy
Chamber president Ruth Redgate said the move will boost the local economy by creating a “stronger and more connected business ecosystem”.
She went on to say: “As the independent Chamber of Trade and Commerce in Lichfield, our mission is to build a stronger business community together. This partnership sets the stage for a vibrant 2025, supporting local non-profits and businesses alike.”
Long-serving chamber president Ruth also revealed that the collaboration will see further sponsorship developments unveiled later this year which are set to benefit local residents’ pockets.
Shoppers also set to benefit from new partnership
The entrepreneur, who founded Hunneypot Cottage Bakery, added: “2025 will also see NetworkLocal launch a dedicated Lichfield District residents’ discount card to further support local businesses by encouraging more local spending.
“As a sponsor, the chamber is proud to play a key role in promoting this new venture. Together through encouragement of more shoppers to buy local and offering free networking opportunities, we aim to strengthen Lichfield District’s economy and business community.
“This sponsorship, therefore, aligns perfectly with our ethos and allows us to provide even greater value to our member while championing local businesses and fostering an enterprising and prosperous district.”
Echoing Ruth’s enthusiasm NetworkLocal founder Kellie Johnson, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce as our first official sponsor. Together, we’re committed to supporting and celebrating the independent businesses that call our District home.”
NetworkLocal’s unique discount card will unlock savings at over 125 local small businesses. There are also further sponsorship benefits for chamber members as a result of its partnership with NetworkLocal.
