An Evening of Burlesque at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre was definitely a night of fun and cheeky entertainment.

Strictly a show for over 18s, it featured showgirls, revealing performances from burlesque actresses Demi Noire and Marilyn Monroe lookalike Isabella Bliss, to variety-style performances from Matt Ricardo, and was compered by singer Ivy Paige.

With some panto-esque antics thrown in, audience members were also called up onto the stage for some 1-1 spots, and everyone else was prompted to get involved in the show from their seats, including to learn some burlesque moves!

As well as a spot from Isabella as Marilyn Monroe, props in her performances included a large champagne glass, that was big enough for her to climb into and filled with glitter tickertape, and a carousel horse complete with pole.

There was also an amusing performance from “stage manager” Danny to round off the night, which saw him climb insider a large balloon to raucous applause.

The show featured fabulous costumes and playful performances that embraced the cheeky spirit of burlesque with minimal lingerie, including the odd tassel!
