New Sunday bus service between Walsall, Aldridge and Lichfield
From 5 January a new hourly Sunday and Bank Holiday timetable will be added to the popular service 36 running between Walsall, Rushall, Aldridge, Stonnall, Shenstone and Lichfield.
This service is funded by Transport for West Midlands and Staffordshire County Council through the government's Bus Service Improvement Plan.
This service will replace journeys on service 35 between Walsall and Aldridge currently operated by National Express West Midlands.
Kallum Crawford, Local Operations Manager at the Chaserider Cannock Depot said: “This is a great time for us to move up a gear and work in partnership once again with both Transport for West Midlands and Staffordshire County Council to deliver the new Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday local bus service between Walsall, Aldridge and Lichfield – running up to every 60 minutes during the day. I would encourage local residents to try the bus as a viable alternative to using the car and help to free up our grid locked roads – it’s much less fuss when you travel by bus – car free - carefree!"
