The sponsored run, around the school’s extensive grounds, will be the highlight of a variety of festive-fun events, including a Christmas concert, form quiz and a seasonal mindfulness activity in aid of the hospice.

The students are already just over half way to achieving their £500 target.

Teacher and head of the house system Amie Kidd said: “KEMP is a charity very close to our hearts as it provides support to many of our families and the wider community.

“It relies heavily on donations to maintain its much-needed services and our students are determined to raise as much as possible. We hope the local community will support them in their quest and have set up a Just Giving page for donations.”

KEMP Hospice provides palliative care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families and carers. It also offers emotional and practical support, helping families navigate the challenges of end-of-life care and a bereavement service for those who have lost loved ones.
