The new learning space at Wombourne High School is on track for completion, with teaching set to begin there in Autumn 2025.

It will offer Science, Design, Technology, and Music facilities for pupils at the Ounsdale Road school, which is part of the Invictus Education Trust.

Headteacher Claire Powell said the space will "transform the educational experience" for school goers.

She added: "This new building will provide better resources for current students and for future generations, and a secure and welcoming, state-of-the-art environment for students to learn, enabling them to reach their full potential."

The school said it marked a "major milestone" in the project this month after the first parts of the building arrived on site.

Edward Vitalis, CEO of Invictus Education Trust, said: “We are thrilled to see the progress made on this project so far and we look forward to seeing the end result.

"We know our current and future students will benefit from this amazing facility.”

The school has worked with construction company Reds10, the Department for Education and the council to help deliver the project.

Joe Shepherd, education director at Reds10, added: "We look forward to seeing these cutting-edge spaces come to life and the positive impact they will have on the students and wider school community."
