The Foundation collect donations of gifts from fans and different organisations within the city, and then pass them on to charities who support children who are not expecting to receive much this Christmas.

Gifts can be tailored towards specific age groups and can be dropped off at Wolfie’s Den at Molineux on the evening of Wednesday, 11 December (5pm-7pm) or before the Premier League fixture against Ipswich Town on Saturday, 14 December (noon-2.45pm).

Campaign supporters Evans Halshaw Vauxhall and Foundation pack patrons Berriman Eaton are very kindly helping out by receiving donations at their respective workplaces to pass on to the appeal.

The appeal is also being supported by Young Wolves, Wolves staff and Premier League Kicks participants, who are bringing donations to a tournament.

“As part of our Supporting Our Pack campaign, we are pleased to once again be running our Shoebox Appeal, co-ordinating the distribution of presents to children who may be facing challenging circumstances this Christmas,” says Ollie Locker, Senior Health Officer with Wolves Foundation.

“Supporters are always so generous in their donation of gifts, which always put a smile on the faces of children and their families during the festive season.

“We are working with many different charities and community hubs and groups who are organising Christmas events involving children so that we can make sure the presents reach the right people.

“We are also grateful for the support of local businesses, some of whom have had the idea of replacing their normal ‘Secret Santa’ initiative with bringing in presents to contribute to the Shoebox Appeal instead.

“Co-ordinating this Appeal is our way of helping families out at Christmas time, and the more presents we receive to be able to do this, the merrier!”

Gifts can be tailored towards different age groups with suggestions including dolls, teddy bears and baby clothes for under 3s, colouring sets, books and puzzles for 3-5s, educational games and toys and stationery sets for 5-9s, books, t-shirts and scarves for 9-12s, and hair accessories, toiletries and scarves for 13-16s.

If using a box, supporters are asked to wrap the box and lid separately so the lid can be removed without ripping the paper and to label the box with who it is suitable for.
