Stafford homebuilders help residents kick off the festive season
Housebuilders Barratt and David Wilson Homes recently sponsored a Christmas market at the White Eagle Club in Stafford on Saturday, 9 November.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the market organised by LR Partnership Events attracted over 600 visitors and created a warm and festive atmosphere.
The event, located close to Barratt Homes’ Bertelin Fields and David Wilson Homes’ The Lapwings and The Catkins developments, featured over 30 indoor and outdoor stalls, offering a variety of handmade gifts, seasonal treats, festive foods and a bouncy castle.
The star of the day, Santa Claus himself, made his first appearance of the Christmas season in Stafford. The visit was met with an overwhelming response and families enjoyed taking selfies with Santa and receiving a special gift.
Lorraine Conkey, LR Partnerships Event Organiser, said: “We are thrilled with the turnout and the feedback we received. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the market, having a bite to eat and drink, meeting up with friends and staying for the afternoon.
“We would like to thank our sponsors Barratt and David Wilson Homes for their support. We are excited to host Santa again at the upcoming Christmas Special, taking place on 19 December.”
The Staffordshire Music and Food Festival Christmas Special is scheduled to take place from 4pm to 9pm in Market Square, on Thursday, 19 December. This event will feature a variety of live performances, street food vendors and a visit from the Mayor of Stafford Borough.
