Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man dies at house near Cannock on Christmas Day
A 33-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 30s died at a house in Norton Canes on Christmas Day.
Police were called at around 3.25am on Wednesday (December 25) to a property at Elm Road after a report of a man in his thirties in cardiac arrest.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services at the scene, the man died a short while later.
Staffordshire Police said his next of kin have been informed and are now being supported by specially-trained officers.
The woman who was arrested is from Cannock and remains in police custody.
An investigation is continuing and an increased police presence is expected for a number of days. A postmortem examination was due to take place on Thursday morning.
