Jamie Hughes out of the BDO World Masters
Tipton's Jamie Hughes surrendered a lead and tumbled out of the BDO World Masters at the quarter-final stage.
Hughes took the first set but back came Swiss thrower Thomas Junghans to win 3-1 and end his dreams of glory,
Junghans went onto face Glen Durrant, Hughes' close friend and conqueror in his World Championship debut this year.
The Black Country darter and BDO World No 2 couldn't replicate last year's Masters run to the final, where he lost to Martin Phillips.
The 29-year-old did see the last day of play at Hull City Hall, though, in the competition which has been broadcast on Euro Sport.
It was Hughes who had to come from behind in Saturday afternoon's last 16 clash with Darius Labanauskas.
The Lithuanian led and missed darts to make it 2-0, with Hughes taking advantage to reel off three sets in succession and nudge home 3-0.
'Yozza' opened in style on Friday, whitewashing Allan Edwards 3-0 without dropping a leg to ease past the first round.
