More than 40 trophies and awards were made by President Joan Garner and Competitions Secretary Simon Kimberley to winners and runners up.

The event was held at the New Oscott Retirement Village which adjoins the Bowling Green Close home of the Club.

Star of the night was Paul Vaughan, who plays both flat green and crown green versions of the game. He dominated the men's competitions, winning the Men's 4 wood singles, the Men's two wood singles and the Men's over 70 singles. He also partnered John Pritchard to win the Men's Pairs.

For the ladies, Joan took the Ladies Pairs League and the Ladies Pairs competition, accompanied in both cases by Pat Court.

Neil Carter won the Men's Handicap Singles. He was also runner up in the men's Non-Winner Singles.

In June, the club is hosting a programme of national initiatives in conjunction with the Bowls Development Association, Bowls England and Just Bowls. This is part of its role as a Midlands Area Bowls Hub Club.
