The Olympic champion, a member of Stafford & Stone Canoe Club, claimed a world title in the K1 Team Slalom earlier this week.
And yesterday he made it through to semi-finals of the individual K1 competition.
Clarke will return to the water tomorrow in a bid to win a place in the final. Brits Bradley Forbes-Cryans and Chris Bowers have also made the semi-finals.
