The club has grown massively over recent years, and now boasts teams ranging from U11 all the way up to senior men in varying leagues throughout the region.

In hope of further improving basketball's reach across the Midlands, the team are hosting camps across the summer - giving boys and girls the opportunity to play the sport and stay active during the school holidays.

Hosted at George Salter Academy in West Bromwich, the camps begin later this month, with dates scheduled throughout August.

Kids will receive coaching from trained members of the club, getting players between the ages of nine and 15 to grips with the game.

"Following the success of our May half-term basketball camp, we decided to go and run our own summer camp." Liam Sheridan, club director of West Brom said.

"It's aimed at providing children and young people within the local community an affordable, fun and safe activity during the summer holidays while introducing them to the game of basketball."

The events run on July 24-26, August 7-9 and August 21-23, with registration closing on July 20.

Running from 10am-2pm each day, players will be coached in all facets of the sport, with a focus on fundamental skills.
