Dante Samuels hits debut double for AFC Willenhall

New signing Dante Samuels made an instant impact, scoring a brace in AFC Willenhall's hard-fought victory over Punjab United in the Under-13s Autumn League.

Luke Sarullo and Tom Page both added one apiece to Willenhall's tally. Punjab replied with three goals with Carl Membrilla netting twice and Talvinder Khella adding the third.

In the other game, Lane Head Bullets had a slightly easier encounter with All Star Wanderers, running out 5-2 winners. Top scorers Dean Taundry and Farley Kidner each found the net twice with Luke Tolley adding to Lane Head's score. Maxwell Corinaldi replied for All Star with recent signing Tyrell Wright scoring the other in his first game for the club.

Under-16s

With Division One leaders Ashmore Park Rangers out of action this week, a victory was vital for Silverdale Strikers, in one of their three games in hand.

Goals from Ryan Perry, Dylan Kingdom, Joseph McCarthy and Shingi Murzangazza gave them the win away to third placed Bloxwich Rangers who had Sam Lynex on the scoresheet in a 4-1 win for Strikers.

Silverdale Spartans were in action away from home. The Spartans, who visited Sedgley White Lions, came away with a 1-0 win thanks to a strike from Gurrajan Birriak.

The result leaves Sedgley bottom of the table and still in search of a win.

In the top-of-the-table Division Two clash, leaders Springvale Steelers travelled to Silverdale Rangers who were in third place, and the home side made it a clean sweep of wins for their parent club by proving their mettle against the Steelers in a 5-1 win which sent them to the top of the table.

Silverdale's scorers were Kevin Wallace (two), Jordan Young Taylor, Samuel Hussain and Nejournie McPherson with Darrell Williams grabbing the consolation for Springvale.

Two sides level on seven points met at the Bentley Road South home of Wyrley Juniors, who entertained WodenWarriors. The Juniors put the Warriors to the sword in a 6-0 win achieved through goals by Jack Plant and Jospin Mangola, who bagged two each, and Connor Yates and Kieran Hall. The win gives Wyrley fourth place in the table and leaves them just three off the top.

Churches FC scored four in their search for a much-needed first win of the season against visiting Phoenix Warriors who were in great form hitting eight goals. On the scoresheet for Churches were Ryan Singh, who hit a hat-trick, and Wayne Taylor. For the Warriors, seven players found the net: Jack Western hit a double, and Kurran Purewal, Tyler Westwood, Armend Tora, Robyn Hall, Joel Harper and Callum Marcou bagged one apiece. The win means Phoenix rise to joint second (with Springvale) while Churches remain in the bottom two.

Under-17s

Eric Saunders League Cup: Two round one games saw two home wins with none in reply. Blakenhall Wanderers' Dyllan Spragg hit the only goal of the game against Gunners, and at AFC Bilston visitors Salisbury Rangers were trounced 11-0. Bilston's hotshots being four-goal Ryan Tinsley, two-goal Reece Ledwidge & Ryan Saroy, with Tom Summers, Brett Morris and Reece Simmonds scoring one each.

Under-19s

The only game saw Wednesfield pull off a 4-1 home win against Penkridge FC, who had Mark McDonald on the scoresheet. For the home side, Jordan Lovell and Connor Styles hit two each to lift their team to seventh, just one point behind Penkridge.

County Cups

Wyrley Juniors U21s progressed in thrilling fashion via a penalty shoot-out after finishing 1-1 at home against Sutton. The Wyrley goal came from Scott Gill.

Also through are Penkridge FC U21s, who beat Knypersley Vic 3-0 at home thanks to goals from Marcus Bazzi, Tom Edge and Matty Dyke.

Also exiting the cup at this stage are Brocton Youth u19s who travelled to AFC White Hart u21s but were on the end of a 7-3 defeat. Brocton's goalscorers were Will Trotman, Robbie Thelwell, and Patrick O'Connor. Bloxwich Town U19s suffered their first defeat of the season in any competition, being narrowly beaten 2-1 away to Madeley. James McGrady struck for Bloxwich. Finally, another narrow defeat this time for Old Hall Eagles U19s, who went down to an extra-time goal against Stone Old Alleians after the sides finished the regulated time 0-0.
