Golden Cue C avoid upset with 3-2 victory over Lea Hall
Reigning champions Golden Cue C avoided a major scare as they stepped into action at their new venue for the first time.
The hosts were taken to a last-frame decider by Lea Hall Club before finally edging the Premier Division clash 3-2.
Last season's most wins man Jack Harris rolled in a 50 break while new signing Gurdip Sidhu also won for the Cue.
Lea Hall responded with wins for Adrian Rosa and Nathan Wood and it was left to veteran Mick Faulkner to clinch the points and match for Golden Cue.
