Five finals for Beacon teams

Teams from the Beacon Sunday League are set to contest no fewer than five finals between now and the end of the season – starting tomorrow night.

The five games include two county cup finals, with Springvale Academy getting things under way tomorrow evening, when they take on Dynamo Dudley in the Lester Charity Cup final, which will is being held at AFC Wulfrunians' Castlecroft home (kick-off 7.45pm).

Sunday then sees two big games, starting in Great Barr as Pensnett Panthers take on Meadway Social in the Birmingham County FA Sunday Amateur Cup final.

The showdown takes place the county FA's HQ on Ray Hall Lane, with an 11am kick-off.

Panthers will be looking to capitalise following the reprieve which has seen them reach the final, despite losing their original semi-final to AFC Jacks on penalties.

The Wolverhampton Sunday League side were then removed from the competition for playing unregistered players, meaning the Panthers will instead line-up on Sunday looking to clinch the first of three possible trophies this season.

To do so, they must beat a Meadway team who have plundered 44 goals already on route to the final.

Later in the same day, the Old Bulls Head take on Dynamo Dudley in the NDT (Midlands) Premier Cup final, with AFC Wulfrunians again playing host to a clash which is scheduled to kick-off at 4.30pm.

The same venue then hosts the Falcon Insurance Beacon Cup final between Pensnett Panthers and Springvale Academy on Thursday week (kick-off 7.45pm).

Finally, on Sunday, April 24, Wolverhampton Casuals travel to Ray Hall Lane to take on Dynamo Dudley in the final of the Birmingham County FA Sunday Vase (kick-off 2pm).
