Pedro Goncalves announced himself in some style last night as Wolves beat Albion 2-0 in a Black Country derby at Molineux.

The Portuguese youngster - who joined on a two-year deal from Valencia earlier in the summer - sent a scorching 25-yarder into the top corner to break the deadlock on 64 minutes.

Highly-rated 19-year-old central midfielder Goncalves was an unused substitute for last week's 2-0 Carabao Cup win at Southampton - and with a few more goals like this it might not be long until he makes his first team bow.

Sherwin Seedorf doubled the lead three minutes from time as Scott Sellars' side won their second successive match.

Danish youth international right back Oskar Buur made his debut for the under-23s after signing for the club last week.

Line up: Burgoyne; Buur (Rainey, 75), Johnson (c), Leak, Breslin; Goncalves, Rainey; Armstrong (Harris, 84), Wilson, Randall; Collins (Seedorf, 71). Subs not used: John, Heredia.
