Dave Edwards: Wolves can't let Max Kilman go like Morgan Gibbs-White did

I really hope Wolves are in a position to be able to keep Max Kilman at the club.

I spoke last week about Max, the money they could get, how they could use it and how it could ease the Financial Fair Play pressure.

But if it’s not a necessity to sell him, I really do think they should keep him – unless a silly offer comes in. I think if Wolves get offered £35million-£40million, that’s where Kilman’s value is. I don’t think that’s Wolves getting a great deal.

I also don’t think they can go out and get a player with the same potential as Max for that sort of price.

They could spread the money around and bring in a few players for more depth, but I’d be gutted if Max went.

His consistency levels for a young defender over the last three years has been exceptional. He’s very calm, calculated, comes out of defence with the ball really well. He’s also a big, strong lad – he really has everything to be a top international centre-back.
