E&S Wolves book is Waterstones best seller
A book produced by the Express & Star charting Wolves' successful first season back in the Premier League has been named as 2019's best seller at Wolverhampton's Waterstones.
Back Where We Belong - Story of the Season 18/19 flew off the shelves following its launch last summer, proving incredibly popular with Wolves supporters wanting to re-live the club's success after qualifying for Europe and reaching the FA Cup sem-final on their return to the big time.
The city centre branch of Waterstones revealed the book was its best seller for last year after receiving huge demand from supporters.
Another Wolves book, former goalkeeper Carl Ikeme's story Why Me? also made the top five.
Back Where We Belong delivered a game-by-game analysis of Wolves’ hugely successful return to the Premier League, including memorable wins against Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team finished seventh to qualify for Europe for the first time in almost 40 years, while Wolves fans returned to Wembley for the FA Cup semi final.
The book was also on sale at supermarkets and other shops across the city.
The top of the best seller list was a largely local affair. In second place was another West Midlands favourite - Peaky Blinders, The Real Story by local historian Carl Chinn. David Walliams' Beast of Buckingham Palace was third on the list.
Inspirational former goalkeeper Carl Ikeme's story of his leukaemia battle was the fifth top seller.
