Wolves have already been involved in 14 competitive fixtures so far this season, but have yet to register a win in the top flight after a mixed start to the Premier League campaign.

Despite featuring heavily, the 33-year-old midfielder believes he's more than capable of playing into his late thirties without issue.

"The age, it's just a number. I feel good." Moutinho said, speaking to Sky Sports.

"I can play, if you ask me now, five years easily. But we never know what comes for the next year, or the next week."

"What I keep trying in my mind is to work hard in the week to be better for the game."

After a stunning return to the top flight yielded a seventh placed finish last year, Wolves have begun this campaign in a slower fashion - currently sitting 19th with four points from six games.

Some believe that the club's Europa League involvement is having an effect on their Premier League form.

However, the Portuguese midfielder admits that despite making the season more strenuous, that the club are working hard to ensure they put their best performances in on a weekly basis.

"It's not the same if you play Saturday, Saturday or Saturday, Sunday because you have more days to recover, more days to work on what we want for the game." he said.

"But with the Europa League you can't. We need to recover and play after two or three days, and that's what we do.

"We adapt on this form we have now and we try to do our best."
