The 25-year-old has been third choice at Molineux since the start of last season, behind Rui Patricio and John Ruddy.

His only appearance last year was for a matter of seconds in the last minute of the 1-0 home win over Fulham in May.

Norris will undergo a medical later today ahead of securing a move for the season.

Ipswich, who were relegated from the Championship last season, are managed by former Wolves boss Paul Lambert.

Norris will compete with Czech Republic-born keeper Tomas Holy, who Ipswich signed from Gillingham this summer for the number one jersey.

Highly-rated Danish youth international Andreas Sondergaard, aged 18, is now likely to be Wolves' third-choice keeper going forward unless they sign a replacement for Norris.

Harry Burgoyne joined Bury on loan last month.
