Back Where We Belong – Story of the Season 18/19 is out now

Back Where We Belong – Story of the Season 18/19 is a game-by-game guide to another fantastic season for Nuno Espirito Santo's Wolves, who finished seventh and reached the FA Cup semi-finals, producing some unforgettable memories along the way including famous victories over Manchester United (twice), Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

At least two pages are devoted to each fixture with match reports, analysis, player ratings, quotes from Nuno and the players, stats, fan verdicts and all the defining images of a special season.

There is also an exclusive in-depth interview with executive chairman Jeff Shi, a foreword penned by captain Conor Coady and a number of features.

It follows on from the success of last season’s book, On Our Way Back – Story of the Season 17/18 of which all copies sold out.

Head of editorial art, Simon Hill, has expertly produced a dazzling design for the 152-page book which is available online and in selected stores, including the Wolves Megastore, several branches of Waterstones and at the Express & Star's main reception in Queen Street, Wolverhampton.

The book features reports and analysis from every single match in 2018/19

In a detailed interviewing covering the season, the future, Fosun, Europe and more, Shi revealed his favourite player and match from the campaign – and admitted the year surpassed his own expectations.

"It's been a great season," Shi says. "At the beginning on the year, personally I thought to finish in the top 10 would be amazing.

"To stay in the league would be the first thing we should do, but the top 10 would have been unbelievable. Now we've over-performed from that.

"Now is the time to think forward. Two or three years ago we were trying to be promoted to the top flight but now it's another challenge – we're trying to challenge the top six and the top four."

In his foreword for the book, captain Coady speaks of his pride at having worn the armband during such a successful Premier League campaign.

"What an absolutely phenomenal season for this brilliant football club," he said.

"As players we dreamed of playing in the Premier League – not only did that dream become a reality, but we managed to finish in seventh place, a wonderful achievement.

"To come into the league as a newly-promoted team, finish that high in the table and qualify for Europe is absolutely exceptional."
