Season ticket prices up at Wolves

But prices for kids have been frozen at the equivalent of just £8 a game for under-17s.

Managing director Laurie Dalrymple said the adult price increase took into account Wolves' successful return to the Premier League as well as "the consistent level of investment required to keep us moving forwards".

Ambitious owners Fosun have bankrolled signings totalling more than £100million in the past year alone.

Tickets in the Billy Wright upper will be the most expensive at £628 (£549 this season), followed by the Steve Bull stand at £544 (£474 this season).

Prices are £514 behind the goals (up from £449) and £493 (up from £429) in the Billy Wright lower.

That's an increase of around 14 per cent across the board. But under-17 tickets remain at £150 in every stand and under-12s are just £69, which works out as £3.63 a game.

Wolves sold out of season tickets this season, with a cap of 22,500. Molineux has been full in home areas for every single league game and the club has a season ticket waiting list of a further 5,000.

Fans have until May 31 to renew their seats for next season.

"The support we have received from this city and our fanbase is incredible.

"Whilst we have come a very long way in three seasons under the ownership of Fosun, we are still only at the beginning of our journey, and our ambition is to build year-upon-year, on and off the pitch, achieving a consistent level of success for Wolves and its pack.

"Our decision to increase some season ticket prices has been taken after careful consideration of where we are now and where we are heading, taking into account what we have achieved this season, and also the consistent level of investment required to keep us moving forwards.

"The signings of Jonny and Raul Jimenez during this season, and that of Euro 2016 winners Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho in the summer, illustrate the level we are now operating at, and are a clear sign of the direction we continue to head.

"In football, it is impossible to predict exactly what will happen next, but what I can assure all supporters is that we will be doing everything we can to support Nuno, his staff and his squad, to build on what they have achieved this season and give them every chance of surpassing it in the future.

"Furthermore, we will also continue to invest proportionately in improvements to the fan experience at Molineux, and more generally, as positive supporter engagement continues to be a high priority for us, and very important to the board and our owners.

"We have also made the decision to freeze under-17 and under-12 season ticket prices so that coming to football as a family unit is kept affordable and we can continue to engage the next generation of Wolves supporters – our fans of the future."

Season ticket holders are also given free entry to all under-23 fixtures and priority to buy tickets for away matches and cup games. Fans have the option to spread the cost of their ticket via direct debit.
