Ruddy made his first league appearance of the season after replacing Rui Patricio.

However the keeper said he expects to be back on the bench at Chelsea next weekend, before returning to face Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final.

"It was nice to be back in a league game and to top it off with a performance like that from the lads and a clean sheet is very satisfying," Ruddy said.

"I was told on Wednesday, the manager gave me a few days to prepare for it.

"There were a few changes and I thought everyone who came in did really well.

"I want to play as much as I can, another game is very welcome.

"I thought the manager was perfectly clear in his press conference yesterday when he said with myself it was looking towards the Man United game.

"Next week I expect Rui to come back in and then we'll look forward to the Man United game after that."

Goals from Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez saw Wolves coast to victory.

Nuno made five changes, with Adama Traore, Ruben Vinagre, Morgan Gibbs-White and Romain Saiss joining Ruddy in the XI.

Ruddy added: "I thought we were very organised and limited them to hardly any chances. The organisation from that point of view hasn't changed much since I was in last year!

"Adama was excellent, Vinagre was superb, Saiss, Morgan, we showed we've got a really strong squad and we've got belief in the squad too.

"We're a very close knit group, we're very tight and it's a good, grounded group to be part of.

"There's no egos or people getting carried away. We're all focused on succeeding.

"We've had a fantastic season. Seventh in the league, quarter-finals in the FA Cup, I'm not sure we could have asked for anything more."
