Club record signing Traore was an unused substitute as Wolves lost 1-0 at Huddersfield on Tuesday night.

The £18million man has only featured as a late substitute in the league this calendar year.

And Nuno, speaking at Friday's pre-match press conference, admitted that while Traore needed to improve he would certainly be sticking by him.

"He will have his chance, naturally," Nuno said. "He's improving.

"He's been helping the team a lot, sometimes not so good as we wish, the most important thing he's been trying to improve.

"One thing we don't do is even though a player doesn't have time in the competition you cannot let him by himself.

"You have to stick with the player, help him, push him, not only Adama, all the players who doesn't have so many minutes.

"It's important to stay alongside them to help them, because he showed before the quality and talent they have.

"We want them for the future. With a small squad that we have, all the players are so important.

Helder Costa has also only featured sporadically of late and Nuno said he'd be working hard with the Portuguese player, as with all his fringe players.

"Helder started the season very, very well. He was one of the most important players in that moments," Nuno added.

"Now he's not in his best moments. The talent is there, the quality is there, let's work together.

"The momentums of the players are not linear, they have ups and downs.

"When they have a down it's the moment that us as coaches must be so important for them, to really help them.

"We've been trying to do that with Adama, with Helder, Vinagre, Morgan, Saiss, Cav, all these players, we have to stick by them and help them every single day.

"Before it was other players and we were able to lift them up.

"It's our responsibility as managers and coaches to work together to improve. I will never abandon a player, ever.

"We have 16 players so everyone is important. We really work hard to improve the players who aren't having minutes."
