The defender left Molineux after eight years at the club last week, joining the Owls for a reported fee of £500,000.

The 23-year-old played 93 times in gold and black, but hadn’t featured for the club since May 2017, having gone on loan to Ipswich Town last season before dropping down to Wolves’ under-23 side back in August.

“It was frustrating. At the end of the day, I was not in the manager’s plans at Wolves." Iorfa told the Sheffield Star.

“They are doing well in the Premier League and going in the right direction."

“I wanted to be part of it, but it is one of those things where I have moved on and I’m delighted to be at Sheffield Wednesday."

The 6ft 4in right-back learned of his Hillsborough move the day before deadline day and says he will draw on previous loans at Ipswich and Shrewsbury to help himself settle in.

“My past loan spells have helped because they have made this process a lot easier in terms of moving to a new city and a new dressing room. You know what it is about really and settling into a new area.”
